Nadia studied Law at the University of Montreal and has been a lawyer since 1994, member of the Barreau du Québec and member of the AQAADI (Quebec Association of Lawyers and Lawyers in Immigration Law) where she was Vice-President of the Board of Directors. This year she won the Obiter Dictum award; this award is intended to recognize a member of the Association for her commitment, her remarkable work, her exceptional dedication and her contribution to the advancement of immigration law and the national influence of the Association.
Nadia also regularly gives seminars and conferences about immigration and international mobility for lawyers, consultants and various organizations.
She is also a partner of the CITIM (Clef pour l’Intégration au Travail des Immigrants) and PVTistes.net; She advises employers and workers on the best strategies for working in Canada until permanent residence is obtained.
Nadia is also very active on her Facebook group, she manages Français, Belges et Suisses au Canada – questions d ’immigration, a group she created in 2016 and which now welcomes around 100 new members every week. This group has become an important community of mutual aid in immigration where members quickly find simple and documented answers to their questions.

Isabelle collaborates with Nadia Barrou’s Law Firm and provides consultation, file review services as well as counselling and representation in international mobility matters.
Called to the Barreau du Québec in 1985, Isabelle has over 30 years of experience in immigration law. She advises companies and individuals on work permit and visa procedures for managerial and skilled workers. Her practice focuses on work permits for intra-company transfers, professionals or other strategic employees, based on Labour Market Impact Assessments or exemptions. She also advises clients on various aspects of international mobility such as employer compliance, voluntary disclosures and inspections, frequent business visits, temporary resident visas, work permit exemptions, spousal work permits, permanent residence and Canadian citizenship.
Isabelle is a past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Quebec Immigration Section and an Honorary Member of the CBA National Immigration Section Executive. She also served on the Quebec Bar Advisory Committee on Immigration and on the CBSA Advisory Committee. She is a frequent speaker on immigration law in conferences and continuous legal education seminars for the Québec Bar, the CBA, l ’AQAADI, the LSUC, l ’Union Française de Montréal, la CITIM and private legal seminar organizations.
Over the last 20 years, she has been listed regularly as a leading immigration practitioner in the LEXPERT Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, and in the Best Lawyers in Canada, Who’s Who Corporate Immigration and Chambers Canada directories. She was granted the Obiter Dictum Prize from l ‘AQAADI in 2009 and was named Immigration Lawyer of the year by Best Lawyers in 2012 and 2016. She was granted the CBA Immigration Section Award of Excellence in 2020.
Amanda knew from a young age that the field of law would be her passion. With a motivation that clearly demonstrates her determination, she joined O’Sullivan College in Montreal and became a Paralegal in 2018. Confident and fearless to take up all kinds of challenges, she joined the workforce which allowed her to create many opportunities to gain experience and knowledge in different areas of law. As she discovered a particular interest in immigration law, she decided to specialize her skills in the field by pursuing studies at LaSalle College in Montreal where she obtained her diploma in 2019. This led her to becoming a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in September 2021.
Within our team, Amanda prepares immigration files for people who wish to come to Canada temporarily or permanently and can communicate with them in either English, French or Italian. Her seriousness, professionalism, and ethics make Amanda a person who is faithful to her commitments.
As soon as she obtained her degree in Political Science – International Relations Profile at the University of Quebec in Montreal, she was hired by an aid and support organization for immigrants.
This experience was decisive for Dalia who then undertook studies in immigration law to become a regulated Canadian immigration consultant. She then worked for a firm specializing in immigration and international mobility before joining our team.
Inspired by the journey of her parents who immigrated from Latin America, her mission today is to assist, support and represent with kindness and professionalism people who wish to settle in Canada.
Dalia is perfectly trilingual, she works in French, Spanish and English with her clients.
After obtaining a master’s degree in law in France, Franck worked for four years as a legal editor in Paris for a large French banking group. Franck speaks several languages, including French, English and German. Feeling a call to explore overseas, he decided to settle in Canada and quickly began an exciting career in aviation. The passion for travel, migration and life projects about crossing borders was affirmed and it was quite natural that the desire to participate in developing these life projects in Canada appeared.
A few years ago, Franck decided to get into immigration law and add a string to his bow by completing all the steps leading to the profession of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant.
Coming from a rich cultural background, Aliya has been immersed in a cosmopolitan environment from an early age and has developed a real passion for foreign cultures and languages. After growing up in Morocco, Aliya moved to France where she successfully completed a bachelor’s in law followed by a master’s in International Law at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, as well as an MBA in Marketing and Communications. This dual expertise allowed her to then advise renowned law firms in their development in France and Morocco before taking up on a new challenge in 2017: moving to Canada. Aliya now draws on this diverse background and her own immigration experience to advise and support her clients in their immigration process to Canada. Her various experiences living in Morocco, France, the Netherlands and Canada, also make her a very open-minded person, able to work in French and English, and to exchange a few words with her clients in Arabic, Russian or Dutch.
Aliya regularly takes up new challenges that she never fails to meet and surpass. Alongside Maître Nadia Barrou, who trained her as soon as she joined the Firm, Aliya now leads numerous seminars and conferences in partnership with non-profit organizations, both for the public seeking answers to their immigration questions, and professionals of this field who need to keep up with the latest news and updates in Canadian immigration Law.

From Brazil and United States to Quebec, from being a dentist to now practicing in immigration, Elaine is not afraid to take up challenges. Her journey allowed her to learn English and French in addition to Portuguese, her native language. Since she arrived in Montreal in 2017, she has been recruited into firms specializing in international mobility and has acquired solid skills. Elaine then discovered a passion for immigration law and did not miss any opportunity to take training in the field and develop her skills.
Meeting people with different stories everyday, listening to them with kindness and handling their cases diligently and thoroughly, this is what drives Elaine and makes her one of the most promising professionals in the field of immigration.
Carlos is a lawyer, member of the Colombian Bar, specialized in international, civil and criminal law since 2002. With his empathy and great dedication to humanitarian causes, he became a municipal legal advisor, while working actively for the defense of human rights.
Since he arrived in Canada, Carlos has learned to master French and English perfectly in addition to Spanish, his native language. In 2014, he completed a master’s degree in international law at the University of Montreal and became vice-president of the Association Américaine des Juristes – Chapitre Canada and held paralegal positions in the field of immigration. Since then, he has been handling all types of files and preparing various applications that are sent to the immigration offices of Canada and Quebec. He continued in this direction by completing, in 2020, the immigration consultant training so he could soon become a member of the ICCRC. Immigration is a field that fascinates him, especially as he takes at heart the journey of each of his clients with whom he develops strong bonds.
Originally from France, Claire is a paralegal specializing in international law. Her first professional experiences were marked by a strong attraction to immigrate outside of France. She was lucky enough to be able to carry out her first work experiences in Southeast Asia by combining both law and immigration; first in teaching missions in Cambodia, then in coordinating missions around aspects of the promotion of French-speaking in Vietnam, her international appeal has only grown.
Attracted by the world around her, this new adventure in Canada allows her to combine her academic legal training and her professional experiences towards a job that suits her in every way: Legal technician in immigration. As a good listener, attentive to detail and patient, she takes new requests to heart and accompanies you. Having been an immigrant three times and having a rigor acquired through her legal training, she is in every way ready to help you as best as possible in your immigration procedures.
Elena arrived in Quebec in 2006 with a master’s degree in law that she obtained in Bulgaria. Her immigration journey and the many steps she took introduced her to the field of immigration and it was with the desire to make it her profession that she completed her studies at the University of Quebec. in Montreal and obtained a bachelor’s degree in sociology, immigration and interethnic relations. She then undertook graduate studies specializing in Canadian and Quebec immigration regulations at the University of Montreal.
In parallel with her studies, Elena worked for more than 10 years in the community network to support immigrants and refugees in their immigration and settlement procedures in Canada. Her mastery of French, English, Russian and Bulgarian, as well as her professional and human qualities, make her a person very appreciated by all.
Linda is an accomplished professional in the social field, with almost two decades of experience. Since 2005, she has worked to serve people, and in 2014, she took over the management of a leisure center. During her career, she has worked with varied audiences, ranging from the youngest to the oldest, providing them with support, accompaniment, listening and availability. Her diverse professional experiences share a common denominator: human contact.
Passionate about travel, cultural discoveries and new experiences, Linda felt the need to bring a new breath into her life. She thus undertook her greatest adventure by moving to Canada, a country that has always fascinated her since her childhood. Drawing on her personal experience, where she organized all the administrative formalities for her arrival using webinars, videos and government sites, she naturally gravitated towards the field of immigration. Now, she helps other people realize their dream of change and expatriation.

Valerie is characterized by her dedication, her versatility and her concern for precision. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology and having studied in a travel agency, she has always shown a great open mind and a passion for people and their cultures. Perfectly fluent in French, English, Spanish and with over 15 years of customer service experience during which she has perfected her role, she takes care of receiving each of our clients and managing their files with respect and under the best conditions. Myriam studied law and criminology at the University of Ottawa. When she obtained her bachelor’s degree, she came back in Montreal, her hometown, to complete a second bachelor’s degree in Management with a specialization in Human Resources at HEC-Montreal. She joined the Ordre Des Administrateurs Agréés du Québec in 2019 and the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources in 2022.
Passionate about the firm’s mission, she completed the immigration consultant training in 2020 to become a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
Having the role of facilitating human relations, administrative and technological terms, she has been able to make positive and concrete changes to the growth of the firm and she works to ensure the maintenance of harmony and performance of the entire team.
